2016 SMHA Chip Drive

This year's Chip Drive will take place on Saturday September 17th.  

All teams from Novice Tier3 to Major Peewee thank you for coming in advance.  On Saturday September 17 please have your players arrive by 8:30am.  At this time , weather permitting we should be able to distribute the boxes of chips for sale. Points to get across to players, parents, coaches etc.   SAFETY FIRST

Each team will be sent out to a general area of the city with mapped routes in each of their zones. The more drivers and participants, as I'm sure you will pass along to the team, will certainly make the workload lighter and make things more fun. My recommendation is to have no less than 9 drivers per team. As usual; you will be responsible to make change using your own float and see that the boys are dressed appropriately wearing their Warrior Team jerseys. You may want a pen, high-liter, etc. to help keep track of your route. We will once again have the "Family Size" bags, which are $5.00 each.
 
As a reminder; driving with van doors open or players riding in the box of a pick-up truck is unacceptable. We ask that the parents oversee the behaviour of the players keeping safety on the streets our "Number One Priority". Our hope is (weather permitting) that we will have your "cargo" organized and ready to go in allotted piles to help simplify dispersal. Please do not change cases, remove or load any product until after we meet and direct you to your section. You will also receive maps, zip-lock bags and envelopes to help organize your funds. Volumes are tracked annually so any changes or sharing on the street need to be noted on your map/worksheet provided.
 
To simplify things; have your float removed and hand in the balance of the money in your zip-lock bag/envelope as well as all remaining chips.
 
***As ALL the money we raise goes to the SMHA for ALL teams to share, we ask that this is not treated as a "Team Fundraiser". Once your float is removed, the balance in the zip-lock bag is to be turned in.***
 
I strongly suggest that you share your cell-phone numbers among your group in case you need to make contact with one another. Please find mine at the bottom of the page.
 
Teams should arrive for 8:30am at the Rotary Complex - North parking lot (as you enter off McCarthy Road), so we will have your group on the road by 9:00. We also ask that you return no later than 12:30pm bringing back any unsold product. On your return we will have a drink and a snack for each of the boys for their efforts.
