Stratford 5 - Brantford 2
he Stratford Scotiabank Major PeeWee AA's are one win away from the Alliance League Championship after another stellar outing in Brantford on Sunday.

The Bankers commitment to team play lead them to a 5-2 win with goaltender Ben Merkel coming up big again. Joe Yundt opened the scoring with a shorthanded marker off a terrific feed from the inspiring Kelton Frey. Tim Clay continued his hot hand to put Stratford up 2-0 after the first period. Dalton Carde drew the assist. Despite being outplayed in the second period, Clay scored from Colton Fountain and Carde scored from Clay to close the period with Stratford up 4-1. Brantford pressed and made it 4-2 however, Carde scored unassisted into an empty net to seal the win. Wes Keutsch and Trey Uniac played solid games for Stratford.

A commitment to defence and team play has resulted in continued improvement. Since being ousted from OHF Playdowns, Stratford has a 6-1 record. They look to claim the league title on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Allman Arena.
