Novice T2 Lead Alliance Finals 3-1

The Stratford Neumeister Motors Novice T2 took the lead in their Alliance MD West Playdown Championship Series with a win and a tie over the weekend.  

The Warriors skated to a 3-3 tie Saturday at West London. Camden Daigle finished a fine solo effort with a backhand goal to tie the score at 1-1 in the second period. Kaden Eybergen scored from Erik Smith and Carter Musselman to put Stratford up 2-1. West London scored the next two before Mason Petrie tied the game with under 4 minutes to play with an assist from Scotty Thornton. With no one scoring during overtime, game one finished in a tie.  

Game two was Stratford's finest team effort of the season resulting in a 4-2 win. Adam Windsor opened the scoring with assists from Patrick Holloway and Luke Gaylor. After West London had tied the game, Petrie scored assisted byu Windsor to put the Warriors back on top. West London answered again but before the end of the 2nd period, Daigle finished a pretty passing play by linemates Windsor and Holloway to put the Warriors ahead for the remainder of the game. Early in the 3rd period Daigle scored again from Holloway to seal the Warriors 4-2 win. Stratford's goaltenders Carson Knott and Cieran Diebolt were instrumental in keeping their team in both games during the 1st periods.  

Game 3 goes next Sunday in London where the Warriors only need 1 point to take the series and become 2010/2011 Alliance playoff Champions.
