On Saturday night the Warriors skated to a 5-0 playoff win over the London Bandits. The line of Josh Smith, Brett Maguire and Ryan Lott were a force all game. Smith led the way with two goals and an assist, Maguire one goal and two assists and Lott one goal and one assist. Austin Taylor chipped in a goal and assist and Isaac Lobsinger earned an assist. Liam McCann picked up his eleventh shutout of the season in the win.
A shorthanded Stratford A.J. Jackson Construction Minor Atom MD Warriors played to a 2-2 tie in playoff action on Sunday against the North London Nationals. The Warriors trailed 2-0 heading into the third period when Josh Smith started the comeback by tapping in a rebound from a Brett Maguire shot. Stratford tied the game on a Jake Emerson wrist shot with five minutes left to play in the third period. The Warriors controlled the last five minutes of play, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
