Atoms End Their Regular Season
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Atoms wrapped up their regular season this past weekend. On Friday night they made the road trip to Hamilton where they battled to the very end but were defeated 5-3. Jared James was solid in net for the Warriors, making numerous difficult saves and keeping the score close. Trailing 3-0 heading into the third, goals by Sam Davey and Michael Messerschmidt set up a thrilling finish. On Sunday, the Warriors entertained the Woodstock Navy Vets. The game was tight until the end, when the skilled Woodstock team exploded with a flurry of goals to capture a 6-2 win for the visitors. James was busy in net again and turned in another solid performance. Goal scorers for Stratford were Riley Higgins off a nice one timer and Jeremi Carmen who roofed a rebound.
