Unbeaten in last 3!!
The Stratford Scotiabank Major PeeWee AA's extended their unbeaten streak to three games in their Alliance Championship semi-final round robin series with Hamilton and Waterloo.

On Saturday they beat Hamilton 4-1 with disciplined play against the physical Reps. Goalie Noah Redfern-Lount was confidently solid while specialty-team practise paid dividends as Colton Fountain scored shorthanded and Joe Yundt on the powerplay. Also scoring were Blake Keen and Riley Walsh. Shaun Pickering had two assists while Keen and Jaren Ball had singles. Evan James had played a responsible and solid game on defence for Stratford.

On Sunday the Bankers "never say die attitude" showed once again as they were fortunate to beat a determined Waterloo team 3-2. Goalie Ben Merkel allowed Stratford to escape the first period scoreless. Yundt scored with an assist to Fountain then Pickering scored unassisted, tying the game at two to end the second period. With just under five minutes to play Yundt won a faceoff in the Waterloo zone to winger Dalton Carde, who cleverly passed to defenceman Tim Clay. Clay's one-timer rebounded to Fountain, who buried the rebound to give Stratford its' first lead. Stratford's strong defensive play for the remainder of the game, lead by Andy Brickman, minimized Waterloo's chances of tying the game.

A win or tie in the final game of the home-and-home series will earn the Bankers a berth in the Alliance League Championship.
