Minor Bantam Warriors One Point from Championship
The Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam A Warriors moved one step closer to securing the Bristol A Championship tonight with a win against the Cambridge Winterhawks. Near the end of the first period, Cambridge opened the scoring. Early in the second, the Warriors replied when Maverick Petrie's slap shot found the top left corner. The game remained tied throughout the second and well into the third. With four minutes to go, Josh Hill scored the winner and the Warriors kept the lead until the final buzzer. Hill and Petrie assisted on each other's goals and Brandon Taylor assisted on both goals in the win. The action continues Wednesday night at 8:15 p.m. at the Stratford Rotary Complex - Molson Pad when the Warrirors attempt to get the final point needed to win the 8 point series.
