Strong start to the Playoffs
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midget MD Warriors opened their round robin playoffs with a 6-3 win over Oakridge Aeros on Wednesday night. Jesse Way opened the scoring with a short-handed marker following a nice feed from Jamie Wells. The team then ran into penalty trouble and found itself down 3-1 by the end of the second period. In the third period the team came out with a spirited effort and scored 5 unanswered goals. Haydon Bulbrook and Brandon Morrow led the comeback with 2 goals each. Jeff Wood rounded out the scoring. Wells added his second assist of the game with Cam Carruthers also adding 2 assists. Spencer Marsh earned the victory between the pipes.
