Semi-Finals Over
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midget MD Warriors lost the final 2 games of their best 2 out of 3 semi final playoff series against Sarnia Sting this weekend. On Saturday, in Sarnia, the team lost an intense, penalty filled game by a 5-4 score. John Yundt led the offense with 3 goals. Jamie Wells chipped in with a single marker. Josiah Zein had a strong game and contributed 3 assists with Ben Champion and Bryn Lobsinger adding single assists. On Sunday, Stratford fell to an inspired Sarnia effort by a 4-1 score. Wells scored the lone Stratford goal with Nick Hlymbicky and Cam Carruthers assisting. Despite the loss, Stratford finished league play with a strong season and now represents Stratford in the MD Championships in April.
