HOLLOWAY AUTOMOTIVE MINOR ATOMS GO AHEAD 3-0!
The warriors traveled to Brantford on Saturday for game two of the series. The 99ers came out strong in front of the home crowd, scoring two goals in the first and a third midway through the second. Despite having five power play opportunities in the first two periods, Stratford was unable to find the back of the net. Things looked bleak for the visiting team, but in true Warriors fashion, they continued to battle! Noah Rusen-Steele led the charge with two unassisted goals, breathing life into his teammates.

Jared LeSouder finally capitalized on a power play opportunity, scoring off a pass from Aly McLeod and Mitch LaFay. Ryan Bell made a huge save on a Brantford break away in the third period, allowing his teammates to take care of business. With the score knotted at three late in the third, Adam Monteith sent the fans into a frenzy, as he slid the fourth unanswered Stratford goal past the Brantford netminder. The Warriors held on for the final minutes to earn the victory. Every member of the team dug deep and showed tremendous character  in the come from behind victory.

Game three of the series saw Brantford visit Stratford on Sunday. Riding the momentum generated on the road the day previous, Stratford defeated the 99ers 7-1. This time, it was Stratford’s turn to go up 3-0 before Brantford got on the board. The Warriors forecheck was relentless, as they continued to pressure the Brantford puck carriers, not allowing them to mount a comeback of their own. Hardy Westman was focused, confident, and nearly perfect between the pipes, making key saves when called upon. Jared LeSouder led the offensive onslaught with a hat trick. Other goal scorers included: Aly McLeod, Kaden Eybergen, Noah Rusen-Steele, and Mitch LaFay. Assists went to: Adam Monteith(2), Bryce Lee, Rusen-Steele(2), McLeod and LaFay. Riley Mathieson and Tyler Pogson had big games on the blueline.

Game number four is set for Thursday evening in Brantford. With a three game advantage, the Warriors have an opportunity to finish first overall, in convincing fashion.
