Written By: The Stratford Dunny’s Source for Sports Atom MD Warriors played their last game of the round robin play downs on Monday night against the London Bandits and needed a win to secure a semi final berth. The Warriors fell behind 1-0 late in the first period but before the period had ended Ben Wilker tied the game up unassisted on a long wrist shot. Dominic Boon gave the Warriors the lead early in the second period on a feed from Brett Maguire. Maguire gave Stratford a 3-1 lead on a hard slap shot to the top corner of the net that caught the London goalie off guard. London scored mid way through the third period to pull within one, but two minutes later Jake Emerson ripped home a wrist shot on a pass from Ryan Lott to regain a two goal lead.
Wilker sealed the win firing in his second goal of the game with two minutes remaining on a nice passing play from Kolton Debus and Brett Maguire.
