PeeWee MD's Fall in Semi-Finals of Burlington Bulldog's Tournament
Best Western The Parlour Historic Inn and Suites Peewee MD’s gained a berth in the semi-finals at the recent Burlington Bulldogs MD tournament, losing 4-1 to eventual tournament winners, Cambridge Hawks.
The team started the tournament with a hard-fought overtime loss to the Oakville Bruins, losing while 2 on 2 late in OT. Goals from Nathan Ferguson assist going to Jacob Ney and Liam Westman with assists to Steven Tuer and Owen Brooks helped secure a point for the team in this game. The Warriors then dropped a loss to the Burlington Bulldogs 2-0. The Warriors played hard but the Bulldogs scored a couple of quick goals in the last five minutes of the game to win 2-0.
In the quarter final the team met the Oakville Bruins again and this time made sure of the win with Peter Williams leading the way with 3 goals. Carson Dunseith earned two assists on these goals and Cole McKay and Sean Dolan each earned one. Liam Westman scored unassisted. In the semi-final game the Warriors lost 4-1 to the eventual tournament winners the Cambridge Hawks. Stratford’s lone goal was scored by Anthony Gioia from Chase Windsor and Liam Westman.
