Swan scores two as Warriors eliminate Woodstock 3 straight
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midgets, eliminated Woodstock Navy Vets in the Bristol "A" semi-final with a 3-2 win in Woodstock on Wednesday night. The Warriors defeated Woodstock 3 games straight to move on to the Bristol "A" final and now wait for the winner of the Waterloo - Hamilton series. Greg Swan opened the scoring once again at the 4:18 mark of the first period and then added the winning goal at 5:29 of the third. Josh Bickell put Stratford up 2-0 at 2:19 of the second period on a breakway. Woodstock came back early to score two in the third period to tie it at 2 each. Swan's goal in the third gave Stratford the victory. Matthew Chiocchio picked up the only assist of the night. Jack Bryan was sensational in stopping 26 of the 28 shots fired his way. Stratford did outshoot Woodstock 31-28.
