Warriors sweep Bandits
Written by Dave Graff
The SMHA Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Reps completed a three game sweep of the London Bandits in the Alliance Bristol (A) semi-finals with two wins on the weekend.

Saturday in game two in London the Warriors fell behind 2-0 part through period one and trailed 3-1 early in the third period but fought back to tie the game at three and send it to overtime. During a neutral zone scramble with less than two minutes to play in the five minute overtime Owen Duiker chipped the puck ahead to Brody Jeffrey who made one quick move around a Bandit defender and calmly buried the puck blocker side to give the Warriors the 4-3 victory. Caleb Musselman carried his teammates on his back after the sluggish start recording the hat trick during regulation. Jeffrey added two assists while Zach Freeland, Erik Smith, Nicholas McCabe and Colten Cowen added one each. Michael Tigani and Calaen Trupp played well on the back end for the Warriors.
Sunday in Stratford early in period one after some solid defensive play by Carter Musselman and Nathan Graff in the Stratford zone, Musselman headed up ice and after beating several London defenders buried a low shot past the Bandit netminder. The Warriors continued to pressure the Bandit goal throughout the contest but were unable to add to the lead and settled for the 1-0 victory to clinch the series. Defensemen Jack Whitehead and call up Danny Scott also had strong games on the Warrior blue line while goalie Tallyn Soper was unflappable when called upon to preserve the shutout. The Warriors will now play London Oakridge in a best of seven final for the Alliance Championship.
