Atoms Relegated to Consolation Round
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Atoms were unable to capitalize on home ice last Saturday afternoon. Facing elimination, the Warriors hosted the Hamilton Huskies in game #4 of the series.

Action was even throughout the first period with Hamilton striking first with seconds remaining. Stratford answered back early in the second on the power play as Jared LeSouder tipped home a shot from the point by Callan Ferguson. The Huskies continued to work hard and slowly took over the game as Stratford was unable to mount much of an offence. The lead was spread to three goals in the third, when Mason Petrie capitalized on a great individual effort down low off a pass from Noah Rusen-Steele. With two goals separating the teams late in the game, any thoughts of a comeback were thwarted by a questionable call by an official. The Huskies would go on to score three more times in the final two minutes, sending Stratford to the Consolation round.
The Warriors will now prepare for a home and home round robin series with Waterloo and Cambridge to see who will advance to the Consolation finals.
