Weekend Warrior Action February 22-24th
The Stratford Best Western-The Parlour Peewee MD Warriors split their weekend games in Alliance playoff action.
Stratford opened with a 4-3 loss to the London Bandits in London on Friday night. After spotting London an early lead, Brett Stelmachuk tied the game. The two teams exchanged goals into the 3rd period before London took the lead for good late in the 3rd. Luke McCarroll and Declan Rintoul rounded out the scoring for Stratford. Sam Turner had assists on all 3 goals with Stelmachuk, Jacob Taylor and Liam Taylor picking up single assists. The Warriors responded to the loss with a big effort against North London in Stratford on Sunday night. Turner picked up 2 goals in the win while Jordan Tessmer sealed it with a goal into the empty net cementing the 3-1 final. The win improved the Warrior's playoff record to 6 wins and only 1 loss. Jeremy Hill and Jared James played solid in net giving Stratford a chance in both games.
