GAME REPORT Feb 1, 2 and 3, 2013
The Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam Warriors went 2-1 on the weekend in their last three regular season league games to finish in first with a league record of 21-8-6.

The Warriors who are playing much better hockey as they end the season lost their first game to the Kitchener Rangers before defeating the St. Thomas Stars and the Burlington Bulldogs.

The Warriors started off the weekend with a 2-1 loss to the Rangers and a very hot goaltender. Jarrett Baker had the lone Stratford goal with assists going to Clayton Lewis and Tyreese Harrison.  Jacob Ford turned in a strong performance in goal for the Warriors.

They bounced backed strongly shooting down the Stars 6-1. Dalton Smith scored 2 goals, Joe Yundt, Ewen Flanagan and Michael Cossey each had 1 goal and 1 assist and Baker added a single. Hunter James had two assists while Bradley Kraemer, Dillon Weinheimer, Lewis and Harrison added singles. Baily Paquette was terrific in goal for the Warriors.

Stratford continued its strong play with its fourth game in four nights shutting down a strong Bulldog team 4-0 with one of their most complete and fluid efforts to date. Weinheimer had 1 goal and 2 assists to lead the way while Yundt added 1 goal and 1 assist. Lewis and Smith each scored once to round out the scoring. Flanagan, Nathan Hall and Evan Moorehead each had 1 assist. Ford played great in earning the shutout.

With the regular season now over the team will have some down time as they prepare for the first round of the playoffs and hopefully a strong commitment to winning the championship.
