Stratford's SCI Contractors dealt the London Bandits Black their first two losses of playdowns...

Stratford’s SCI Contractors Minor Bantam MD’s played the London Bandits Black, back to back games on Monday and Tuesday nights and served them up their first two losses of the playdowns.  On Family Day the Warriors travelled to London to face the Bandits.  The Bandits played a strong hard hitting game, but they were no match for the Warriors.  They Stratford team took the lead in the second on a goal from Peter Williams with assists going to Jacob Ney and Owen Brooks.  Nathan Ferguson added the second goal at the four minute mark of the third with the assist going to Peter Williams.  The Bandits fought back and scored two goals to tie the game.  The Warriors worked hard in the last few minutes and at the 40 second mark, Nathan Ferguson scored his second goal of the night on a pass from Owen Brooks to edge the score up to a 3-2 win.  Steven Tuer was strong on the blue line.  Jeremy Wickenheiser played a solid game between the pipes and kept the team in the game on many close calls.

On a snowy Tuesday night the Bandits travelled to Stratford.  The Warriors took control of the game right from the start and Chase Windsor opened the scoring in the first minute on a pass from Carson Dunseith.  Dunseith scored the second goal in the second period from Chris Phillips and Owen Brooks netted the third on passes from Peter Williams and Connor Franke.  The Warriors kept control of the game with solid checking and the final score remained at 3-0.  Sean Dolan was solid on defence.  Megan Jesse earned the shutout, robbing the Bandits on many good scoring opportunities.
