Warriors settle for a 3-3 tie in opener
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midgets skated to a 3-3 tie in the opening game of their Bristol Cup final against the Hamilton Huskies. The line of Hill, Lansdell and Kelly accounted for two of the goals. Josh Hill with 2 goals and Wyatt Lansdell and Liam Kelly with 2 assists each. Evan Metelski scored once for the Tribe on an assist from Coulton Fountain. Stratford fired 38 shots at Wyatt Croucher in net for Hamilton while Darren Robinson stopped 27 shots for the Warriors. A 5 minute sudden victory overtime saw some wide open play with 5 shots for each team. Next game is in Hamilton 8:00 P.M. Saturday night.
