Warriors Play Well Heading Into Playoffs
The Stratford Bantam MD Warriors played three games in one week, two against North London and one against West London. On January 16, the Warriors hosted North London, and played an excellent game, despite losing 2-1. The Warriors then travelled to London to face North London on the 20th, and played an even better game, heading home with a 4-4 tie. The next day, the Warriors hosted West London and skated to a 3-2 victory.

The game on the 16th was against a North London team that has lost only once, and tied twice. The Warriors played an excellent game, with their goal being scored by Wes Keutsch, with Sam Knecthel recording the assist. James Drake hit many goal posts throughout the game. Goaltender Xavier Rutherford played an excellent game, and made many saves to keep the Warriors in the game. The Warriors lost the game 2-1, but gave North London all they could handle.

On the 22, the Warriors travelled to London to play the same Nationals they just lost to. The Warriors played another great game, and skated to a 4-4 tie, against a North London team that rarely does not win. Wes Keutsch led the way with two goals and one assist, while Matt Carman and Andrew Diehl each netted one apiece. Adam Skinner recorded two assists, while Matt Carman had one. Xavier Rutherford played another great game in net, and made several great saves.

The very next day, the Warriors hosted the West London Nationals, and won the game 3-2. After a fast game against North London the night before, the Warriors showed some fatigue, but hung on to beat West London. The Warriors goals were scored by Matt Carman, Wes Keutsch and James Drake. Nick Ruttan, Keutsch and Carman all recorded assists. The Warriors have one more game before playoffs against the Sarnia Sting, as they look to keep on rolling heading into playoffs.
