St. Thomas Tournament
Stratford Warriors Neumeister Motors Tier 1 Novice competed in
a tournament in St. Thomas
this weekend (Oct 18, 19, 20).
In the first game they tied the Hespeler Shamrocks 3-3. Jonas Schmidt got 2 goals and Sam Jeffery got the other. Schmidt and Jeffery also got assists along with Tyson Talsma and Kaden Brame.
Saturday morning they played Tillsonburg Tornadoes losing 5 to 4. Jonas Schmidt got 2 goals, Sam Jeffery and Haden Frayne each got one. Assists went to Schmidt and Owen Holloway.
Saturday afternoon St. Thomas Stars scored an empty net goal to win 5-3. Stratford goals came from Jonas Schmidt, Ethan Martin, and Haden Frayne. Cole Meadows got 2 assists and Schmidt, Tyson Talsma, and Luke Zorgdrager got one each.
Although the team played hard and deserved a better result, the puck just didn't bounce their way. We'll remember this weekend for the team brunch and movie.
