Warriors Tie Bandits and Lose to Aeros
The Hishons Custom Tier 1 Warriors played two games this past weekend tieing the London Bandits 4-4 on Saturday and losing to the Oakridge Aeros on Sunday 5-0.

It was a hard fought game against the Bandits with each side taking 4 penalties. The Bandits scored first with 4 minutes left in the first period and were pressing hard for a second goal. The Warriors held them off thanks to two sparkling saves by goaltender James Hopper. With just under 3 minutes left Ethan Martin tied it up with an unassisted goal. Then with 8.5 seconds on the clock Owen Holloway scored to take the lead on a nice passing play from his line mates Daniel Van Straaten and Kaden Brame.
The game was back and forth through the second period when the Bandits scored twice, once at 3:40 and again at 2:11. Jonas Schmidt regained the tie with an unassisted goal with 1:22 remaining. In the third period the Warriors again took the lead on Schmidt’s second goal assisted by Martin and Cole Meadows. The Warriors looked to be on their way to a win when a miscue in their own end lead to another Bandit goal.

On Sunday the Warriors lost 5-0 to the Oakridge Aeros. The Areos defense tied up the Warriors offense and 5 trips to the sin bin lead to 2 shorthanded goals. The Warriors have 2 games remaining next weekend to finish the round robin playoff.
