Warriors vs Nationals
Playing at home last weekend, Dunny’s Source for Sports Atom MD Warriors started off slow and found themselves down early and often to the London Nationals.
A first period goaltending change seemed to serve as a wakeup call for the Warriors as they picked up their play and battled hard to closeout the first and carried that pressure throughout the second period to keep the game within reach. Unfortunately, some undisciplined play led to the Warriors spending the majority of the third period shorthanded which left them unable to mount the offensive rally needed to pull closer on the scoreboard and they wound up falling 7-1 to the Nats. Scoring for the Warriors was Corey Van Nes assisted by Jacob Bossence & Liam Flanagan. Matt Trachsel continued his strong play on the blueline while Nathan Cardoso was a sparkplug up front. Next up for the Warriors is a road trip to Sarnia against the first place Sting.
