Hockeytown Experience
The Stratford Nes-Tech Warriors travelled to Hockeytown on the weekend to participate in the popular Red Wing experience.

They started the tournament off with a 3-3 tie versus the Elyria Panthers, getting goals from Scotty Thornton, Garret Culliton and Tyler Gould.     The second game had them matched up against an older and bigger team from Newark.  Stratford battled hard, however, found themselves on the losing end of an 8-3 final.  Scotty Thornton, Ben Wyatt and Brady Roth with his first of the season were the goal scorers for Stratford.   On Saturday, the North Olmstead Ogres were on the schedule, and living up to their nickname the Warriors and Ogres played a chippy affair with Straford coming out on the losing end of a 6-0 score.   Following the game, the Stratford team enjoyed a pizza party at Hockeytown Café and took in the Red Wings versus LA Kings game on Saturday evening.  Adding to the experience, the Stratford team played their final game of the tournament on the ice at Joe Louis Arena on Sunday, coming out on the wrong side of a 10-6 score versus the Brampton Bombers.   Thornton tallied four goals, while Tyler Gibb and Tyson Jurchuk added singles in the loss.   Despite the standings on the weekend, all the boys took memories with them that will last a lifetime.
