Warriors win over the Stars
The Scotiabank Peewee Warriors played host to the St Thomas Stars at the Allman arena on Sunday afternoon.

The games against the Stars are always a battle and this proved no different, resulting in fourteen penalties between the two teams.  Everett Hawkins, on  a nice individual effort opened the scoring for the Warriors in the opening minute of the game.  Hawkins struck again late in the first, banging in a goal mouth scramble to stretch the lead to 2-0.  Hayden Arms drew the assist. St Thomas scored to make it a one goal game, but less than a minute later the Warriors scored what proved to be the winning goal when Charlie Rankin fired in a shot from the point. Zach Dow and Trent Zorgdrager assisted. The Stars made it close, netting their second late in the period, but goalie Spencer Lazarevich was sensational throughout the game, especially in the third period, securing the win.
Next action for the Scotiabank Peewee Warriors is Friday night when they travel to Waterloo to take on the Wolves.
