Warriors Open PLayoffs!
The Stratford SCI Contractors Minor Bantam MD Warrior opened their playoffs with a 1-1 tie to the London Bandits in London on Friday night. Stratford opened the scoring on the powerplay when Brett Stelmachuk tipped a shot by Haydn Shantz that eluded the Bandit goalie. The teams would trade opportunities throughout the game when Sam Davey was called upon to make some key saves to preserve the lead. London managed to time the game in the third setting the stage for some end to end play late as each team pushed for the win. With the Warriors down a man late in the game they were able to apply some pressure but weren't able to snatch the lead resulting in a draw.
