Tier 3's on a Four Game Win Streak!
The Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors had two more playoff games this weekend and came away with another set of wins!

On Saturday afternoon the Warriors headed to London to face off against the West Hawks 3A team.  With both teams tied for second the Warriors were looking to avenge an early loss ~ and they did!  The Warriors struck first with an early goal from Colin Slattery, assisted by Carter Petrie. That goal was followed by another quick goal from Petrie, assisted by Aaron Green.  The Hawks answered back with one of the own to end the second 2-1.  End to end action saw the game tied mid way through the second but Blair Stokes fired one in, assisted by Sam Binns to end the second 3-2.  Strong defense from Cody Bach and Austin Musselman  kept the Hawks on their toes.  Early in the third, Petrie found the back of the net, assisted by Binns.  The Hawks answered back making it 4-3.  With six minutes left in the third Slattery netted his second of the game, assisted by Colin Schultz.  The Hawks pushed hard in the final few minutes of the game, but goalie Brenden Sippel stood his ground and made save after save, including a diving save to end the game!

On Sunday afternoon the Warriors were up against an unpredictable Oakridge team.  Once again, Brenden Sippel was solid in net, continuously stoning their offence.  Two minutes into the game Sam Binns scored, assisted by Rylan Hall to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead.  Moments later Carter Petrie found the back of the net to give the Warriors a two goal lead.  The Warriors closed out the first period with another goal from Petrie, assisted by Dawson White.  Nathan Siebert and Nolan Miller kept the pressure on early in the second period and mid-way through Colin Slattery slipped one past the Oakridge netminder to give the Warriors a 4-0 lead.  Oakridge nabbed one of their own to finish the second period 4-1.  Liam Ollson worked the blue line in the third to keep Oakridge at one, and with 15 seconds left Slattery grabbed his second of the game to make it 5-1.

Next playoff action is Saturday March 7 at the Allman against North London.
