Warriors Tie Series!
The Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors nabbed a win on the road to force a third game against Sarnia.

The Warriors faced off against the Sarnia Junior Sting on Wednesday March 18th for Game #1 of a four point series.  Aidan Hill was on duty between the pipes and once again was outstanding.  Sarnia struck first and despite constant offensive attacks from both teams, the score remained 1-0 after two periods of play.  Early in the third Sarnia was awarded a penalty shot and Hill stoned their shooter.  Moments later Colin Slattery scored a shorthanded goal to tie the game 1-1.  With less then four minutes remaining in the game, Sarnia found the back of the net to win the game 2-1.

On Saturday March 21, the Warriors headed down to Sarnia looking for a win! Again, Sarnia struck first with a goal one minute in.  The Warriors pushed hard and Colin Schultz answered back with a goal top shelf to tie the game 1-1.  Aaron Green worked the blue line to stop scoring chances and the two teams battled back and forth with end to end action through the second period.  Finally, toward the end of the third period Colin Slattery scored on a breakaway to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.  With Sarnia looking for the equalizer Slattery nabbed his second goal on an empty net, assisted by Carter Petrie.  Aidan Hill had the win in net!

With the series now tied a one game each, the Warriors will take on Sarnia again Sunday March 22, at the Allman~ puck drops at 1:00pm.
