Strong Start vs the Nationals
Hishons Custom Novice Tier 1 Warriors had a very strong first two periods in a 6-1 loss to the London Nationals.

In the second period Mark Pyzowski had a sweet pass to Isaac Nickel who put one past the goalie with the lone Warrior goal.  At the end of the second period, the score was 2-1 for the Nationals.  Jesse Merkel was strong in net with a sprawling save in the first and a glove save in the second to keep the Warriors in the game.  Nathan Gibb was strong defensively, including a blocked shot. Offensively, Owen Gaylor was aggressive on the puck and fore-checking well and Noah Roth had a great deke and a few scoring chances.  It was a great team effort.

On Sunday, the Warriors faced the London Bandits and lost 11-1.  With a great start to the game, Mark Pyzowski scored, assisted by Isaac Nickel in the first period.  Although the team was working hard, it was challenging to keep up to the Bandits strong offense.  Goaltender Josh Duiker had an early save in the first and a fantastic poke check in the second.  Gabe Emms and Daniel Rusen-Steele played aggressively on the boards and made some great passes. Defensively, Eric Haynes was holding his own on the blue line and clearing our zone well.
