Semi finals vs Kitchener

The Atom Warriors faced the Kitchener jr. Rangers this past weekend winning both then playing to a draw on Thursday. 


Game 1, In Kitchener, the Warriors  won 2-1 in OT. The Rangers struck first on the first shift in the second period. The Warrriors fought right back and eventually tied it up with Jacob Hall showing great patience around the net. Hall held the puck until the goalie went down and threw a back hand up top. Assists going to Jonas Schmidt and Cole Lewis. Both teams fought hard all game with lots of exciting back and forth action. They ended regulation tied at 1. The Warriors penalty kills was strong fought by all 4 defense, Sam Bolger, Issac Deline, Chadd Langlands, and Connor McIntosh. The forwards also did a great job. About 2:49 left in OT, Hall throws one at the net, getting a warrior bounce off the Rangers defense and finding the back of the net. Zach McCann and Connor McIntosh fighting hard on the boards to get the assists. 
Game 2, back home the Warriors lead off with McIntosh firing the puck in the top corner from the point off a tip back from Matthew Barber. McCann made it 2-0 from Ethan Scrimgeour and Nole Musselman. The Rangers tie it up going into the third when Musselman got a break and put it in the corner stick side, Lewis and McCann getting the assists. James Cormier-Hazen was unbelievable in both games, making beautiful glove saves. Ethan Scrimgeour, Aubrey Carter, and Hudson Flood all played strong aggressive games, never letting up. Warriors defense once again relentless. 
Game 3, in Kitchener, Warriors tie 3-3, going down 3-0 early in the second. The Warriors started pressing and finally Chadd Langlands puts it top shelf from the blueline from Connor McIntosh and Nole Musselman. Very next shift, still pressing hard, Matthew Barber fights hard behind the net, the puck getting back to Sam Bolger who passes it up to Hudson Flood getting us within 1. Late in the third period the Warriors get a Powerplay, passing it around Cole Lewis behind the net to the other side for Zach McCann, who throws it across to Jacob Hall who finds the top of the net. Game tied at 3. The Warriors dominated the rest of the third and OT but couldn't get the winner. 
Warriors go up 5 points to 1, needing 6 to eliminate the Rangers. 
Game 4, at the Molson Pad Saturday night.
