Soper Shutout leads team to another playoff victory
Tallyn Soper's second consecutive playoff shut-out led the Nes-tech Minor Peewee MD Warriors to their 5th point of the playoffs and put a stranglehold on second place.

Soper made quite a few spectacular saves against London Northridge on Sunday, including a huge breakaway save mid-way through the 2nd period and an amazing split save late in the 2nd, frustrating the London offense and giving the team in front of him the boost they needed to take the victory.

After a scoreless 1st period the Warriors offense kicked in during the 2nd.  The first goal came after an offensive faceoff win by Jacob Bossence back to Spencer Eidt on point, where he threw a nifty pass over to James "skittles" Koch who made no mistake on a great shot from the point, hitting the top corner of the net.

The second goal came mid-way through the second with a beautiful break-out pass by Jackson Nickel to a speeding Nicholas McCabe, who split the Northridge defense taking a beautiful shot over the right shoulder of the Northridge goalie.

The Warriors finished off the scoring late in the 2nd when Corey VanNes came up with the puck from behind the net and tucked it in the short side.  Assists went to Maddox Keller and Bossence.

Northridge was relentless in the third, but the Nes-tech Warriors were able to keep them off of the scoreboard for the rest of the game with aggressive defense and smart plays by the whole team.

After the game coach Terry Soper told the kids that he was very impressed with the way the whole team played.  "You guys deserved that win.  You played hard, never gave up and did the little things that help a team come up on top.  You should all be happy with yourselves.  Keep it up."
