The AJ Jackson Construction Minor Atom MD Warriors participated
in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Classic hockey tournament over the holidays.
After a slow start in their opening game against the host team, Stratford played catch-up hockey, but ultimately fell to the NOTL
Wolves by a score of 4-2. Liam Hill put the Warriors on the board at the 1:04 mark of the second period to bring Stratford within
one. Ethan Dam assisted on the goal. Hill struck again at the 5:04 mark of the third period, on an assist by Zach Richardson, to
once more bring the Warriors within one. A late goal in the third period by the Wolves solidified the final score.
After a marginable loss to the Beeton Stingers that saw no Stratford goals, the Warriors second game of the day was against the
Prince Edward County Kings. Despite a strong goaltending effort by Cameron Ground, the Kings upset the Warriors 5-1. Liam Hill had
the lone goal for Stratford. Defenceman Logan Lott earned the tournament MVP for Stratford based on performance over the three
games.
