Three Point Weekend for Tier 1's
The Hishon Custom Novice Tier 1's continued their playoff battle this weekend with two games and came away with a tie and a win.

On Saturday night the Warriors took on the 1st place Sarnia Junior Sting.  Aidan Hill got the call in net and was tested early with a quick goal from Sarnia.  The Warriors answered back with Colin Schultz sliding one in past the Sarnia netminder, assisted by Dawson White.  Hill fought off the Sting attack with help from Austin Musselman and Aaron Green.  Stratford continued their attack with White going bar down, assisted by Slattery,  to take the lead.  Slattery netted one of his own, assisted by Blake Hodgson, to give the Warriors a 3-1 lead to end the first.  Sarnia fought back scoring three unanswered goals to take a 4-3 lead early in the third.  With Stratford on the power play Slattery scored, assisted by Carter Petrie to tie the game 4-4.  Sarnia responded with one of their own to take the lead 5-4.  With Stratford looking for the equalizer the boys dug in with tough forechecking from Blair Stokes, Grady Murphy and Lukas Steele.  Finally, with less then 4 mins to go Petrie scored to tie the game 5-5, assisted by Nathan Siebert.  

 

Sunday night saw the Warriors travel to London to take on the North London Nationals.  Brenden Sippel was on duty between the pipes and lead his team to a decisive 4-0 win. The Warriors took charge early in the game with Ryan Gansevles nabbing an early goal, assisted by Steele.  White came up big with another quick goal to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead. Late in the first Cody Bach scored from the point, assisted by Rylan Hall. The Warriors held their own throughout the game, fending off the Nationals attack. White put the icing on the cake with his third goal in two games, assisted by Slattery and Schultz for the 4-0 win.
