Warriors end weekend with a win
The Tier II Novice Warriors split a pair of weekend playoff games. The team's record now sits at 2-2 in the Alliance West playoff race. In Stratford on Saturday the team started well, putting in a good first period but things fell apart in the third and ended up on the losing end, 8-2 to the North London Nationals.

Dylan Abel scored in the second period to keep the game close with the home side trailing 2-1 heading to the third. Liam Ollson scored the only goal in third period for Stratford. Rowan Smith put in a great effort up front and Zach Scrimgeour a great effort on the back end for the Warriors.

On Sunday, the Warriors travelled to London and the Oakridge Aeros were the opponents. Stratford dominated play throughout the majority of the game and won 6-1. It was a great bounce back effort for the boys. The first period saw only one goal scored and it was the Oakridge Aeros. In the second, Liam Ollson got the Warriors on the board with the assist to Logan Hallock. The third period saw the Warriors score five goals in less than four minutes. Owen Chadwick scored with Matthew Benner drawing the assist. Ollson put Stratford up 3-1 with his second goal of the game with Ellis Schnurr notching an assist. Dylan Abel scored the next two goals with Nick Wagner in on his second goal. Schnurr finished up the scoring for the Warriors with his second point of the game. Ollson had a great game at both ends of the ice for the Warriors and Benner up front and Liam Eddleston on defence had solid games as well. This week for the Warriors sees the team play three games in five days.
