Weekend Wrap Up
The Neumeister Motors Ltd. Tier II Novice team had a tough weekend losing 7-2 to the West London Hawks and 4-3 to the Oakridge Aeros. On Saturday in London, the Warriors kept the game close for two periods. It was 0-0 after one period of play and 2-1 for the Hawks heading to the third period on a goal by Dylan Abel with Logan Hallock and Nick Wagner drawing the assists.

In the third, Hallock scored the Warriors' second goal of the game with Tyson Cassone assisting. Lachlan Stanley held his own between the pipes with several key saves. On Sunday at the Allman, the Warriors outshot the Aeros 20-5 and outplayed them for the majority of the game but fell victim to some decent goaltending from the opposition and lost 4-3. The Aeros opened the scoring and then Logan Hallock scored a power play goal with Liam Ollson drawing the helper. Oakridge scored the lone goal of the second period and Stratford trailed 2-1 heading to the third. The opposition tallied again early in the third and Sam Binns scored from Aaron Jones to bring the Warriors back to within one. Stratford tied it a couple of minutes later with Hallock finding the back of the net for his second of the game with Tyson Cassone assisting. Hallock and Binns showed tremendous hustle all game and at both ends of the ice. The Warriors play their final game of the opening round of playoffs Saturday against the London Bandits.
