The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms went 1-3 in over the past two week-ends. Last Saturday in London versus the Jr. Mustang Purple, the team played a great game and defeated London 3-1. Ethan Plotnik opened the scoring and Mark Pyzowski scored the eventual game winner with assists going to Andrew Leitch and Nathaniel Smith. Quinn Appel sealed the win with an empty-netter late in the third. Jesse Merkel was outstanding in net.
Stratford then hosted the Jr. Mustangs White on Sunday and fell 7-1. Pyzowski scored the lone goal with assists to Smith and Beckham McLeod.
This past week-end, Stratford travelled to Waterloo on Saturday to face the Wolves and were defeated 6-3. Ryan Haines opened the scoring and Pyzowski scored the next two with an assist going to McLeod.
The team then faced a strong Kitchener Rangers squad at home and played extremely well, despite a 4-1 loss. Haines scored the lone goal assisted by Quinn Appel and Brett Knechtel. The defensive pairing of Colten Kuepfer and Marek Carter had a strong game. Koen Gerber was solid in net, making several key saves.
