Written by Dave Graff. The SMHA
Scotiabank Major Peewee Rep team finished off their Alliance Bristol quarter
final series last night beating Woodstock 2-0 and winning the six point series
seven points to one.
After a slow start and two early Woodstock powerplays, the visitors found themselves being outshot 8-2 in the opening period. The visitors found their legs to start the second period taking it to the home side, outshooting them 35-11 the rest of the way with only the stellar goaltending from the Navy Vet keeper preventing this final score from being more one sided. Carter Musselman setup Zach Carman for the Warrior first goal in the second period and then added one of his own in the third period to seal the deal. Dailey Trainor recorded the shutout in the Warrior goal.
Stratford now awaits either Brantford, London or Sarnia in the Alliance Bristol semi-finals.
