Motors Tier 2 Novice Warriors tied Oakridge Aeros 3-3 Saturday morning during
Warrior Day held in Stratford. The
Warriors came out strong attacking the puck throughout the first period. Teams were matching shot for shot until
Oakridge put one past Jake Taylor to take the lead. The forward line of Harrison Robinet, Rem
Hruden, and Ethan Priestap had many chances throughout the second period and
tied the game when Priestap received a pass from Robinet and made no mistake
putting it past Oakridge goalie.
Heading into the third period down 2-1, Stratford rallied hard with two goals putting them up 3-2. Unfortunately, with a minute left in the game Oakridge found the back of the net tying the game. Robinet and Alexander Robinson scored for Stratford with both assists going to Nash McIlroy.
Neumeister Motors Tier 2 Novice Warriors travelled to London on Sunday to face the Nationals. Stratford came out strong travelling back and forth on the ice holding London to minimal shots. The defence of Henry Flanagan, Owen VanGestel, Blake McIntosh, and Nash McIIroy held off London throughout the game. Rem Hruden opened the scoring for Stratford in the first period after a pass from Harrison Robinet let to a breakaway. London came back with 6 unanswered goals throughout the game making the final score 7-1 for London. Next action for Stratford is Saturday October 8 when they travel to Sarnia.
