Tier 2 Novice finish weekend with a win
The Neumeister Motors Tier 2 Novices went 1-1 this past weekend.  On Saturday the Warriors travelled to Sarnia to face the undefeated Sting 2 team.  Stratford held the Sting off in the first period allowing only two goals before the end of the first.

Sting offence came out strong in the second with four unanswered goals before Stratford could put a marker on the board with a goal by Andrew Davis.  Liam Benton gave Stratford their second goal in the third period with an assist going to Harrison Robinet.  Assists also went to Liam Benton and Mason Bauld.  Stratford lost 10-2.

On Sunday Stratford travelled to Oakridge to face the Aeros.  The two teams tied when they faced each other last and Stratford wanted nothing but a win this time.  Oakridge was first onto the scoreboard in the first but strong goaltending by Brock Herman and many chances by Stratford in the Aero’s end kept Stratford into the game heading into the second period.  Stratford fell behind by two early into the second period until Andrew Davis found the back of the net for Stratford.  Stratford never looked back after getting on the scoreboard.  Henry Flanagan tied the game with a goal from the blue line with an assist going to Ethan Priestap.  Mason Bauld scored the equalizer in the third followed closely behind with the winning goal by Liam Benton.  Davis and Bauld picked up assists throughout the game.  Stratford remains in the middle of the standings and will face the North London Nationals in London on Saturday Oct 15th.
