Rheo Thompson Novice Warriors Earn Valuable 2 Points
Saturday evening the Novice Rheo Thompson Warriors played host to the Oakridge Aeros for their 1st of 2 playoff matchups this season, earning 2pts and  pulling them 1pt behind 2nd place Aeros while holding a game in hand.

The Warriors came out  jumping in the 1st period with Nate VanBakel getting the boys on the board midway through the period on a nice pass from Maddyx Chaput. Chaput would add 1 of his own 2:30 later with the helpers going to Evan Hughes and Reid Morris. The 2nd period was where the Warriors were tested but Jakob Strahm stood to the test keeping the boys in the lead only allowing 1 goal on the Aeros 9 shots. Midway through the 3rd period the opponents would find the equalizer but that was quickly put to rest with Caden Ollson setting up Maddyx Chaput's 2nd of the game to pull the Warriors back to the lead 3-2. The 3rd period once again belonged to Stratford as they outshot their opponents 10-6 and scored 2 more goals for insurance markers, one of them by Hudsyn Chaput with the helpers belonging to Caellum Parsons and Owen Blackburn while Maddyx Chaput scored the other to complete the hatrick with the helper on his goal belonging to Jack Haines. Piers Murray and Jack Bannon were strong on defence and Jakob Strahm had one of his best performances in the net stopping 15 of 17 Aeros shots. The final score was a win for Stratford 5-2.

The young Warriors eagerly await their next game play this weekend as they have a home and home with West London White. Sunday's home game is at the Allman at 3:15pm.
