Warriors End Playoff Round With a Win
The AJ Jackson Construction minor atom MD team finished off the playoff round this past weekend with a win. Prior to the game on Sunday the team received their Alliance Hockey Minor Atom MD West League champions banner for the 2016-2017 season.
On Saturday the Warriors lost 7-4 to the West London Hawks despite outplaying the opposition for most of the game. Scoring goals for Stratford were Ellis Schnurr with two, Nick Wagner and Dylan Abel. Assists went to Liam Ollson with three, Jordan Keane with two and Liam Eddleston with one. On Sunday back at the Allman, the Warriors defeated the North London Nationals 5-4. Ryan McGill played a great game in net making several key saves down the stretch to secure the win for Stratford. Leading the offence once again was Ollson with a goal and two assists. Keane, Wagner, Owen Chadwick and Luke Jackson had the other goals while Chadwick and Zach Scrimgeour added assists. It is now on to the playdown round against the Oakridge Aeros.
