The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors are now sitting at 6 points of the 8 point series against the London Junior Knights Green.
In Game #5 the Warriors were looking for a big win at home to take the lead in the series. With Brenden Sippel on duty between the pipes the Warriors started off strong with a battle end to end in the first period. Early in the second period Colin Slattery put the Warriors on the board with a power play goal, assisted by Blair Stokes and Carter Petrie. Moments later Petrie netted one of his own, assisted by Nathan Siebert to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead. Not to be taken lightly, London fought back closing the second period with a goal that trickled in over the line and a second goal early in the third period to tie the game. Gritty play from Grady Murphy and Dawson White kept the Knights off the boards, while Aaron Green and Cody Bach tied them up in the defensive zone. Finally, the Warriors scored the go ahead goal with the one two punch from Slattery and Colin Schultz. Petrie threw one in the empty net for the insurance marker to seal deal at the buzzer 4-2.
