Cherrey Bus Lines Minor bBantam rep team ran their AA Alliance minor hockey
unbeaten streak to six games recording two ties last week.
Tuesday at the rec centre the visiting Woodstock Navy Vets came at the Warriors early and often in the first half of the game but could only beat netminder Tallyn Soper once taking a 1-0 lead into the third period. The home side woke up big time in the third period out shooting the visitors 13-2 and a beauty top shelf goal by Zach Carman with just less than four minutes remaining made the final 1-1. Curtis Taylor and Owen Fraser drew the assists on the Warrior goal while Soper ended up with 18 saves.
Friday in Kitchener a back and forth affair ended in 3-3 tie against the Rangers. Caleb Musselman scored the first Warrior goal to tie the game at one early in the second period and after Ben ten Hag put the Warriors ahead the Rangers replied with two quick ones of their own to take a 3-2 lead. A Brady Ballantyne shot from the slot found its way through a screen and into the Ranger goal late in the second period to tie the game and an uneventful third period was scoreless leaving this one to end in a tie. Patrick Holloway had two assists for Stratford while Braydon Tinning, Calaen Trupp and Caleb Musselman had one each.
