Minor Midgets Bristol A Champions
The Stratford Motor Product Minor Midgets defeated the Hamilton Huskies 7 to 1 to win the Bristol Play downs and become A Champions winning the series 3 games to 0.

A determined Huskies started strong opening the scoring early, but the Warriors defense and goaltending shut the door after that, and the offense kicked into high gear scoring seven straight goals. Eric VanderEyk opened the scoring on an unassisted goal to tie the game. Ethan Scrimgeour scored what would hold up as the winning goal, banging in a rebound on Jared Searles’ point shot. Brett Maguire’s point shot found the back of the net giving the Warriors a two goal cushion with Trent Zorgdrager and Scrimgeour assisting. The forth Warrior goal was a beautiful passing play with Hayden Arms tapping in a beautiful feed from Austin Taylor and VandeEyk.  The flood gates opened in the third period as the Warriors overwhelmed the Huskies adding 3 more goals. Joel DenOtter buried a  feed from Tyson Hall and Brady Burdett on the Power Play, while Scrimgeour scored his second with assists going to Griffin MacDonald and Jared Searles. Brady Burdett undressed four Huskies as he deked through there zone before scoring the Warriors final goal, with the assists going to Scrimegeour and MacDonald.  Owen Hahn played an outstanding game in goal turning away the Huskies with a number of big saves, never allowing them to gain momentum. As the final horn sounded the Warriors exploded from their bench to celebrate the victory.

Congratulations to Head Coach Bob Zimmer, Assistants Chad Boudreau and Darrell Vitelo, Trainer Kerry Hahn and Manager Sheri Maguire on the excellent job they did with the group of young men this season.
