Novice Warriors Split Weekend Playoff Games
This past weekend the Novice Tier 1 Warriors sponsored by Evoke Marketing and Promotions played 2 playoff games. Game 1 was a win at home against the London Bandits and Sunday morning the boys travelled to Sarnia and came up short in game 2 on the weekend.

Saturday's home game was all in the boys favour as they dominated every area of the game. They moved the puck well, peppered the Bandits goalie with shots and played an almost perfect defensive game only allowing 3 shots to find their net. Maddyx Chaput lead the way on the scorecard with a hat trick, while Hudsyn Chaput had a pair of goals and Will Pepper had a single marker. Earning assists on the Warrior goals were Jake Schultz, Piers Murray, Griffin Harvey, Will Pepper, Graedon Smith and Hudsyn Chaput. Carter Keating earned his 3rd shutout of the season. Final was a strong 6-0 win.

Sunday morning the boys jumped on the bus to make the trip to Sarnia. The 1st periord was the difference in the game, as the Sting would capitalize on 2 loose pucks in the slot to take a 2-0 advantage heading into the 2nd period. The Sting outshot the boys 9-4 in the 1st frame. The 2nd period the boys got focussed and would cut the lead in half on a goal by Maddyx Chaput. The Warriors would take the shotcount by a count of 7-3 this frame. The first 10:00 of the 3rd period there was no scoring, it was at the 5:12 mark of the 3rd when the game would get interesting when Maddyx Chaput would tie the game for the Warriors on a play setup by Owen Blackburn and Piers Murray. Unfortunately for the Warriors the Sting would earn the lead back 0:16 later. Sarnia would add another with 2:07 remaining in the game. The Warriors showed the same resilliancy they have all season and would score a late marker to bring the game back to within a goal, but it was not enough as the Sting won the game 4-3.

Next action for the boys will be 3 of their final 4 playoff games, with their sights set on the playdowns as they share the lead in the West Playoff race with the North London Nationals, who they will face at home on Saturday night at the Molson Pad at 4:15pm. The other weekend games are a home and home matchup vs the West London Hawks, Friday in London and Sunday at the Allman Arena.
