Evoke Novice Warriors Lose Close Battle With Nationals
The Evoke Marketing and Promotions Novice Tier 1 Warriors played their final round robin playoff game against the North London Nationals Thursday night in London and came up just short in the close battle.

The Warriors had a great start to the game as Maddyx Chaput would put the boys up by a pair of early goals. Earning the assists would be Hudsyn Chaput on the 1st goal and Graedon Smith on the 2nd marker. The Nationals would add 1 of their own to end the period with the Warriors ahead 2-1. The lone goal of the 2nd was an early marker 0:22 into the period when the Nationals would deadlock the game at 2-2. London would gain their first lead in the game early in the 3rd until Maddyx Chaput would complete his hat trick and bring the squad back to even. Jake Schultz would set up the equalizer. The game remained a stalement until the 6:02 mark of the 3rd when the Nationals would again pull ahead, and also add an insurance marker in their favour. The Warriors were not willing to quit and pulled Keating when Jake Schultz would find the back of the net to bring the boys within a goal. Hudsyn Chaput earned the assist on Schultz's goal. Keating would head back to the net for the draw, but with quick possesion of the puck for Stratford he would head back to the bench for the extra attacker. Stratford had a few stellar chances but the Nationals tender would not give up the equalizer. Final score was a 5-4 win for London. Stratford and the Nationals tied both previous playoff games 3-3.

The Warriors had a successful playoff round robin earning 2nd seed and will await their opponent in the Oakridge Aeros who have their remaining game to play on March 18th. The 4pt playdown series between the 2 squads will begin the week of March 19th with Stratford owning home ice advantage.
