Neumeister Motors Novice Warriors Weekend Play
The Neumeister Motors Tier Two Novice Warriors played two games over the weekend. On Saturday, they lost 4-0 at home to Waterloo Wolves and and on Sunday they travelled to Kitchener to play Jr. Rangers Black and were defeated 9-0. Despite the losses there were some bright spots on the ice for the boys.

Against Waterloo the Warriors were unlucky not to score. Josh Steele hit a post, John Spillane sailed a wrist shot barely over the post and Evan Hughes had three good shots stopped by the Waterloo goalie. On defence, Caellum Parsons and Lukas Morrison helped keep the Wolves from the Warrior net. Quinn Smith was solid in goal and made a toe save on shot from close range.

Against Kitchener, the Warriors struggled to get an attack going. Despite being outplayed and out shot so Stratford players had a good game. Davis Longston made a number of big pad and stick saves. Cody Duiker skated well and made lead passes. Kadyn Adams had the best of the Warrior scoring chances. Ezra Wreford broke up scoring chances both by clearing the puck and skating Ranger wingers away from the net. Fischer McPherson was strong in both ends of the ice.

The team was back at practise Tuesday night hoping to get back in the win column.
