Neumeister Motors Warriors Vs Navy Vets
On Saturday, February 17 the Neumeister Motors Tier Two Warriors traveled to Woodstock to take on the Navy Vets. There were some great efforts for the team in the 5-1 loss.
The Navy Vets were held to one goal in each of the first two periods due to the stellar play of Quinn Smith who continued his hot play with a series of pad and glove saves. Davis Longston played the third period and also made some tremendous saves as the Warriors were outshot in the final frame.
The defensive pair of Lukas Morrison and Nolan Tryssenaar worked well together. Both of them broke up chances, won battles for the puck on the boards and played positionally strong.
On the attack, the forward combination of Josh Steele, Kadyn Adams and Caellum Parsons had a series of shifts in the second period where they dominated the game and kept Woodstock hemmed in their own zone for long stretches. They were rewarded with a goal by Josh that was assisted by Kadyn.
In the third period, some penalty trouble saw the game get away and the Navy Vets put the game out of reach.
The boys are back at it Tuesday night against the Jr. Rangers Blue Team.
