The Warriors opened
the weekend with a long bus ride to Sarnia to play the junior Sting, November
18 and fell 4-1.
Malaika Kibedi got the start in net and made several great saves. Jason Adair rifled one into the top corner as the teams battled to a 1-1 tie after one. Unfortunately in the second the home side took advantage of a missed offside call to solve Kibedi. Seconds later a missed icing gave the Sting the opportunity to keep jamming at the post until it slipped in to give them a 3-1 lead after two. They kept the pressure on and added another in the third to win 4-1.
On November 19, the Warriors traveled to London to play West London Hawks black and lost 4-3. Keeson DeYoung got the start in net and made several saves. Ethan Schmidt scored the first goal from Liam Micks and then Schmidt set up Luke Hishon for the second goal. The teams battled to a 2-2 tie until Schmidt won the draw and raced in on net and found the top corner to give the Warriors a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately, the Hawks refused to quit and scored twice in the third to win 4-3.
