The Stratford Minor Atom MD Warriors were hard at it on the road. Their first game on December 16 saw a battle against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Red team in Kitchener. The Warriors were unable to defeat the Rangers losing 6-3. The offensive line of Liam Benton, Ethan Priestap and Alex Robinson started off the scoring with Benton burying a puck with the assistance from his linemates. The next goal was a beautiful shot from Finley Newton, assisted by Benton. Finally Benton added the third goal unassisted.
The Warriors next game on December 17, was a hard battle against a strong Oakridge Aero’s team in London. Oakridge managed to get the upper hand on Stratford winning 8-3. Stratford’s goals were scored by a fast breakaway from Nash McIlroy unassisted, followed by a second goal from linemate Finley Newton assisted by Hunter Hallock and McIlroy. The third goal of the game came from Liam Benton unassisted. The boys are looking forward to a nice break over the holidays, and kicking off the second half of the season!
